Visiting FAQs
Know before you go—answers to your visit questions.
What is Two Brothers?
Two Brothers is a unique café and taphouse designed for dogs and their humans to enjoy together. Our space features large indoor and outdoor off-leash areas for dogs to play and socialize. We offer a wide selection of beverages and delicious food for both parents and pups, along with premium services such as grooming, day camp, and training.
Is there a dedicated off-leash area for small dogs?
Currently, we don’t have a dedicated off-leash area for small dogs. If you’re uncomfortable letting your small dog play in the off-leash park, you’re welcome to cuddle and socialize with your pup in our on-leash café.
Do I need to have a dog to visit Two Brothers?
Not at all! Two Brothers welcomes all dog lovers, whether you have a furry companion or not. We understand that life circumstances may prevent you from owning a dog, and we’re thrilled to have you join our vibrant community of pups and their people.
Are kids allowed at Two Brothers?
Absolutely! Children of all ages are welcome in the café. However, for safety reasons, only children aged 13 and older are permitted to enter the off-leash dog park.
Is the synthetic grass safe for the dogs to play on?
Absolutely! At Two Brothers, we use K9 Grass, a specially designed synthetic turf engineered to handle high usage by dogs. It’s durable, safe, and hygienic. To ensure cleanliness, our Park Rangers regularly spray the turf with water and an organic, pet-safe disinfectant throughout the day.
Can I bring my dog’s toys to the park?
To ensure a fun and friendly environment for all pups, we don’t allow outside toys in the park. Personal toys can sometimes cause dogs to become territorial. Don’t worry, though—we’ve got you covered! We provide tennis balls and other toys on-site for your furry friend to enjoy.
Can my dog get Kennel Cough from visiting Two Brothers?
While kennel cough is a risk in any canine community space, we take extensive measures to maintain a clean and sanitary environment. Despite our efforts, viruses and bacteria can spread through direct contact or the air.
To reduce the risk, we require all dogs entering our facility to be up to date on their Bordetella vaccination.
If your dog shows any signs of kennel cough, we ask that you refrain from visiting and consult your veterinarian. Common signs include: A persistent, forceful cough. Watery nasal discharge. Nighttime coughing that disrupts your dog’s sleep.
Your dog’s health and safety—and that of the community—are our top priorities!
Is Wifi available at Two Brothers?
Yes! While we recommend we disconnect from our digital devices and enjoy the community, we also support sitting in a cozy corner and getting some work done while you cover yourselves in dogs.
What if an injury occurs?
While minor incidents can occasionally happen in dog parks, our highly trained staff is always prepared to handle these situations. In case of an emergency, we follow established emergency response plans to ensure the safety of all pets and guests.
We have strategically located first-aid supplies and time-out areas within the park for immediate care if needed. For more serious incidents, we’ll assist you in seeking professional care, including coordinating transportation to Bay Area Pet Hospital if necessary.
Your dog’s safety and well-being are our top priorities.
What if there is a conflict between two dogs?
Our trained staff will step in to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort. We use positive, professional methods like verbal redirection, timeouts, and temporary separation if needed. In rare cases, we may ask a dog to leave the park to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all.
Please note, these measures are not punitive but are designed to keep the park safe and stress-free for everyone.
If conflicts persist, we may recommend that you and your dog participate in a socialization training course with one of our trusted training partners to help improve their experience in the park.
Can my dog visit the park if they aren’t spayed or neutered?
If your dog is not spayed or neutered, please reach out to Two Brothers Leadership at info@twobrotherstc.com for guidance before your visit. We understand that there are valid reasons, such as medical advice, for delaying or avoiding these procedures, and we respect those decisions.
If your intact dog is permitted in the park, our staff will provide extra supervision to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all dogs and guests.
